Privacy Policy — Mods Maker for WorldBox
Last updated: 2026-10-04 · Publisher: CP Publisher · Contact: cp.public.work@gmail.com
Mods Maker for WorldBox ("the app") lets you create, edit and install worlds for the game WorldBox. This policy explains what data the app and its partners handle. The app has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
Worlds you make
Your worlds (terrain, name, description, rule settings) are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. When you install a world, the app writes its save files into the WorldBox folder you grant access to, or saves a .zip in your Downloads folder.
Share codes (optional)
Only if you tap Share code, the app uploads that one world (its terrain data, its name and its size) to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and gives you a 6-character code. Anyone who has the code can download that world. No personal information or device identifier is attached to it. Do not put personal information in a world's name. To have a shared world removed, email us the code.
Community (optional)
If you publish a world to the Community, the app creates an anonymous account (a random Firebase user ID, no name or email) and uploads that world's terrain data, name, tags, a small picture of the map and the time of posting. Published worlds are public: anyone using the app can see, download, like and report them. Likes and reports are stored with your anonymous ID so each player counts once. If you choose a creator name, it is stored with your anonymous ID and shown publicly on your worlds and creator page; it is optional, and you can change or remove it any time under Community › Me › Name. You can delete your published worlds at any time from the world's page in the app. Worlds you save for later are kept only on your phone. Worlds reported by several players are hidden and reviewed, and worlds that break the community rules are removed. Blocking a player is stored only on your phone.
Photos
If you use "From Photo", you pick a picture with the system photo picker. It is converted into a map on your device and is never uploaded.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice from the "Privacy options" button in the app's Guide tab. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. See policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
The app uses Firebase Analytics to learn which features are used (for example, creating or installing a world) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, Android version, app state at the time of the crash). This data is not used to identify you. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Permissions
- Internet: ads, analytics, crash reports, share codes and the Community.
- Storage (Android 10 and older only): to copy worlds into the WorldBox save folder.
- Folder access (Android 11–12, only if you allow it): the WorldBox folder you pick in the system dialog, used only to write save files.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
